Job Description :

EDI Assessment - Healthcare Industry Our client, a dynamic healthcare services company engaged in a phase of rapid growth, is seeking an experienced EDI Consultant with extensive healthcare experience to conduct a thorough assessment of their current EDI infrastructure usage and workflow processes. Our client's environment leverages a robust, homegrown EDI system that integrates complex healthcare data exchanges that are mission critical to its operations.


 


Role Summary:


The consultant will be responsible for performing a strategic assessment of EDI capabilities, including mapping, testing, and implementation of various data feeds. The ideal candidate will provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance scalability and efficiency, ensuring current systems, workflows, and processes are poised to meet expanding needs.


 


Key Responsibilities: 



  • Evaluate and assess current EDI functions and processes.

  • Document and analyze data flows, processing volumes, and system integrations.

  • Provide analysis of healthcare-specific protocols and data standards such as HL7, NCPDP, and claims related files.

  • Prepare comprehensive documentation including implementation guides, specifications, and validation sheets.

  • Collaborate closely with internal team members during fact finding and analysis of systems and processes.


Required Qualifications :

 Qualifications



  • Proven experience in healthcare EDI environments, particularly with enrollment and claims systems.

  • Strong familiarity with healthcare data standards including HL7, NCPDP, and  transactions such as 834 and 837.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide clear, strategic and tactical recommendations is a must.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote setting.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills. 


Desirable Experience: 



  • Experience managing or leading teams of diverse EDI roles in a large-scale data environment is desired.

  • Exposure to Linux, Perl, AWS, or Java-based applications is helpful but not required.
